Quick Calculator for Simple Circuits

Here's a very handy little crib from Edgar/K4YF for use in calculating the value of variables in simple circuit design

 It's designed to take the strain off the process of finding out, for example, how much power will be dissipated in that resistor when I run 42 amperes through it.

Example: The NW quadrant contains the variable P (power). If you know the current (I) and the value of the resistor (R), the the power dissipated will be the current-squared multiplied by the resistance. How's that for easy!
