Club Meetings TAARS meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of the month at the College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City NC building "C" at 1930 local time. Before the meeting we have dinner at the Golden Corral in Elizabeth City at 1800 local time. Visitors are always welcome! TAARS participates in Field Day each June and always places repectablly in our class. Check out the Field Day Page for more informatiom. Visitors are welcome, including prospective new Hams and Hams visiting the area. |

Thursday Night Net TAARS holds a VHF Net on the 146.655-/131.8 WA4VTX repeater each Thursday at 9pm except on the 3rd Thursday of the month (See Above). The Net is typically called by Al, K4VHV with Herman, NO4Y filling in quite nicely. You can View or Download the Script they use to call the Net. |

New Ham Information Would you like to become an Amateur Radio Operator? We'd be glad to help you do it!! TAARS offers an ARRL VE sanctioned test session once a quarter, in January, April, July and October, and typically its the Saturday after the third Thursday, which just happens to be the Thursday we hold our regular Club Meeting. The Exam session starts at 9am and we hold it at the College of the Albemarle in "C" Building. For those wishing to upgrade, please bring your original license, any CSCE's and copies of each.
